About the committee

OPEC (and OPEC+), created at the Baghdad Conference on September 10–14, 1960, aims to coordinate and unify petroleum policies among Member Countries, in order to secure fair and stable prices for petroleum producers; an efficient, economic, and regular supply of petroleum to consuming nations; and a fair return on capital to those investing in the industry. In the committee we will discuss; determining the oil supply for the world by considering the outcomes of the current Russo-Ukrainian conflict and its effect on the energy industry, setting and arguing the current security of the oil plants in general, and setting some advisory security standard for the member countries.
OPEC+ focuses on a somewhat different subject than other committees. Consequently, it needs delegates to possess specific information in terms of the history of OPEC and its members’ policies. Therefore, this committee is recommended for experienced and most importantly interested delegates. We invite every participant that is interested in global energy politics to bless us with their presence on this prestigious committee.
